[From the CD liner notes]:
"We thought it was about time we got back into the recording studio, so in between our busy concert schedule we managed to find time to cut this new album, and had a lot of fun doing it. We've included some tunes that we've played for a long time, like "Choro da Saudade", one of our favourite classics, "That's Alright", a vocal from Sam, and "Limehouse Blues", where we couldn't resist quoting one of Django Reinhardt's great solos, as we do in our shows.
then we have some new ones - "Lullabye For Madeline" (dedicated to our year old niece) and "You'll Be Glad You did". We've also included two compositions by our all-time favourite guitarists - Chet Atkins ("Mountain Melody") and Jerry Reed ("Honkin'). There's even one of Rob's vocals on this one - so keep your fingers at the ready on the skip button!
Altogether there is a varied selection of musical styles here, where the only common denominator is the guitar, and that's what Smithsville is all about! We hope you enjoy your visit. Drop by any time." -- The Smith Brothers, 1997
