[From the CD liner notes]:
"Playing with Pee Wee Clark was what sparked these sessions. Here was this legendary steel guitar player living in Australia and we both thought our playing styles would complement each other. We have different influences - my style is more country pop and his is more country swing and jazz - but we really hit it off and the chemistry between us became a bit of a musical game: one moment we're complementing each other, the next we're playing off each other.
Pee Wee and I picked the songs - all beautiful old classics except for "Dixie McGuire", which I wrote. But it's the arrangements that Pee Wee and I wrote that set them part - making them different and, I think, make them exciting." -- Tommy Emmanuel 1990
