Redd Volkaert is best known to country music fans as the lead guitarist for Merle Haggard's band "The Strangers" since 1997. Before that, Redd played in many honky-tonk bars throughout Canada and the United States, honing his craft and fine-tuning his signature style on the Fender Telecaster. As a sought-after sideman, he's had the chance to back up, sit in, and record with a long list of country music stars. Redd now enjoys a successful solo career, playing regularly in the live music capital of the world - Austin, Texas.
Redd teaches several of his "Pork Chops" in the instructional part of the DVD, and each lick is notated in the accompanying instructional booklet.
